Simply Reiki is a way of learning Reiki from the West with a Japanese influence. My study of Reiki in New Zealand, Japan and with Frank Arjava Petter from Germany, allows me to teach Reiki with a philosophy and techniques from Japan.
I have been working with Reiki from 1998 in hospitals, hospices and health clinics in New Zealand. I have been studying Reiki in Japan (Shoden, Okuden and shihan kaku), so this is the source of the Japanese influence of my teaching.
A Reiki training with a Japanese influence allows the students to understand better the origin of Reiki.
